Homeowner Education Package - $150
Opening your utility closet, crouching into your crawlspace, or climbing up into your attic can be just as intimidating as popping the hood on a car. You are about to be the owner and operator of some very complex (and expensive) systems. How do I know they’re operating properly? What kind of maintenance is important? I saw something crazy on TikTok – does that apply to my house?
The home inspection is a critical part of any home purchase. Unfortunately, there are dozens of other critical events competing for your attention at the same time, and for many homeowners, if they are even present at the home inspection, it will only be the second or third time they’ve seen the home. It can be very difficult for any homeowner to remember every single important thing they learn from the home inspection, and the inspection itself is only a snapshot, a single moment in the lifespan of a house. That’s where the Homeowner Education package comes in.
As a former educator, I believe that you deserve to fully understand your home, its systems, and its functions. With Homeowner Education, Reliable Residence Inspections will return to your home, three months after closing. That’s plenty of time for you to have noticed all the kinks and quirks of your new home, and come up with a long list of things you’re curious about. Together, we’ll do a detailed walkthrough of your home, answering any questions you may have come up with after living there for a few months, along with the questions you didn’t even know to ask.
In addition, the Homeowner Education Package includes a home maintenance schedule tailored to your specific home, with detailed instructions on how to care for your new systems and appliances.
What to Expect From Your Inspection
Whether you are buying, selling, or maintaining your home, Reliable Residence Home Inspections provides professional and quality service from the moment you call us. Our licensed home inspectors will walk through your home with you and teach you as much as you want to learn. After we walk through the home together, we will explain the general condition of the home and systems with you and your agent. We will talk through any major issues that need to be addressed sooner rather than later. We will also mention the items that you will want to keep an eye on for deferred maintenance. All of this will be detailed in our easy-to-read report, which will be delivered in HTML and/or PDF format. From that report, you will be able to see the items we discussed, with images for reference.
